 MIX FOR THE EARTH

Andrew found a big old fire pit under the turf, now we mix the ashes with the regular soil under the turf and new compost containing soil to prepare the beds for our pumpkin. According to permaculture principles, you should use all resources. Stones for the herb spiral and ash as well as existing soil for the good garden mix, and the turf on the side as a basis for the compost.

COMPOST

As you can see, the bottom first layer of compost has already grown to 40 meters. (bottom right back). Next week we will get manure from the farmer to apply a 5 cm thick layer and then cover it with soil.

Andrew alipata shimo kubwa la moto la zamani chini ya turf, sasa tunachanganya majivu na udongo wa kawaida chini ya turf na mbolea mpya iliyo na udongo ili kuandaa vitanda kwa malenge yetu. Kulingana na kanuni za permaculture, unapaswa kutumia rasilimali zote. Mawe kwa ajili ya mimea ond na majivu pamoja na udongo uliopo kwa mchanganyiko mzuri wa bustani, na turf upande kama msingi wa mbolea.

Kama unavyoona, safu ya kwanza ya chini ya mboji tayari imekua hadi mita 40. (chini kulia nyuma). Wiki ijayo tutapata samadi kutoka kwa mkulima ili kuweka tabaka lenye unene wa sm 5 kisha kuifunika kwa udongo.

There is no growing soil like we have here. But LILIAN in the neighbouring nursery manages with shade and mulch that almost all of my seeds come up from Spain. It's amazing how she does it. Only the marigold seeds worry us and don't come. I do not know why that is. It is always important to find someone who knows the earth and the climate here. Some seeds don't need such humus-rich soil to start, some like the avocado seeds just need enough water and then need 2 months until they have grown roots in order to plant them in soil. Her place is next to the old lady with her flower nursery, who gave her permission to do it there, but she does not have any paper. I have now received an official letter and a permit as well as a water connection. So, she now has the right to run her small nursery there, and we have our own water connection with a meter.   What's coming is Alium Giganteum, I brought the seeds with me from Andalusia, they all came straight away.
