1 PDC LESSON 3.50 STARTING A GARDEN + NURSERY – COMPOST, STONES AND WEED

Start at Block B on the left side with earth movement and levelling. Sort stones, good soil, grass and weeds for the compost and place them separately.
We are committed to using the resources as stated in the ethical principles. So here we start in the second part of the garden, chopping out the sod, turning it over, and generating compost with the soil that sticks to the tufts of grass.
Later we can apply a layer of manure on top.
We sift good soil that we find underneath for our pots and supplement it with purchased soil that contains a lot of nutrients. We still use the stones as a fence for our beds, which we later plant or on which we place our pots and sacks.
The paths are very important and serve for better and easier processing with the wheelbarrow.

Anzia kwenye Kitalu B upande wa kushoto kwa kusogeza ardhi na kusawazisha. Panga mawe, udongo mzuri, nyasi na magugu kwa ajili ya mbolea na uziweke kando.
Tumejitolea kutumia rasilimali kama ilivyoelezwa katika kanuni za maadili. Kwa hiyo hapa tunaanza katika sehemu ya pili ya bustani, tukikata sod, kuigeuza, na kuzalisha mbolea na udongo unaoshikamana na nyasi.
Baadaye tunaweza kuweka safu ya samadi juu.
Tunapepeta udongo mzuri ambao tunapata chini kwa ajili ya vyungu vyetu na kuuongezea udongo ulionunuliwa ambao una virutubisho vingi. Bado tunatumia mawe hayo kama uzio wa vitanda vyetu, ambavyo tunapanda baadaye au tunaweka sufuria na magunia yetu.
Njia ni muhimu sana na hutumika kwa usindikaji bora na rahisi na toroli.

There is no growing soil like we have here. But LILIAN in the neighbouring nursery manages with shade and mulch that almost all of my seeds come up from Spain. It's amazing how she does it. Only the marigold seeds worry us and don't come. I do not know why that is. It is always important to find someone who knows the earth and the climate here. Some seeds don't need such humus-rich soil to start, some like the avocado seeds just need enough water and then need 2 months until they have grown roots in order to plant them in soil. Her place is next to the old lady with her flower nursery, who gave her permission to do it there, but she does not have any paper. I have now received an official letter and a permit as well as a water connection. So, she now has the right to run her small nursery there, and we have our own water connection with a meter.   What's coming is Alium Giganteum, I brought the seeds with me from Andalusia, they all came straight away. It is a great medicinal plant with unrivalled antitoxic properties, works against diabetes, Alzheimer's and malaria, and also against impure skin. I came across it by chance and googled it.
